Pressing Notes

The Runners is another film produced by the NFL which outlines various player positions on the football field and highlights several outstanding players over the course of the leagues history. Mastered from 16mm source material, the age of the elements, a scant 7 years old at the time of the DiscoVision mastering are grainy and poorly represented. The actual video transfer itself is as good as can be expected based on the condition of the elements. The audio is clean and clear for the most part, but some of the interview audio is over driven. The program contains no actual audio from any of the film clips. As us typical with NFL films, original music is included on this program which actually fits in with the material. Disc replication is also average. Some copies have exhibited high frequency speckling, while others were not that clean. Some copies are known to experience 10,000 Frame Shift.
