Like all other NFL features, Young, Old and Bold was transferred from 16mm source material. The age of the
elements, only 9 years old at the time of the DiscoVision mastering are fairly sharp in their color, but are grainy
and poorly represented. The actual video transfer itself is as good as can be expected based on the condition of the
elements. The audio is clean and clear, and contains a bit of actual audio from the film clips. As is typical with
NFL films, original music based on the late 60s completes the soundtrack. Disc replication is also average. Some
Review copies exhibited high frequency speckling, while others were not that clean. Some masterings are know to
have 20 Frame Skip.
