Synopsis:
Spectacular is certainly the word for this utterly wild comedy epic directed by Steven Spielberg and nominated for three Academy Awards®, including Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects and Best Sound.

Lavish effects sequences highlight this hilarious all-star extravaganza set in Los Angeles just days after the attack on Pearl Harbor, when the fear of a Japanese invasion threw the city into a state of pandemonium.

John Belushi heads the cast as Wild Bill Kelso, the gung-ho fighter pilot who can't wait to get his hands on the enemy...if only he could find them. Joining Belushi are Dan Aykroyd, Ned Beatty, Lorraine Gray, Murray Hamilton, Christopher Lee, Tim Matheson, Toshiro Mifune, Warren Oates, Robert Stack, Treat Williams, and Nancy Allen in a zany excursion in which no submarine is left unsunk and no home is left standing.
