Synopsis:
Clint Eastwood returns to the Old West, reprising the role of the mysterious stranger who emerges out of the heat waves of the desert and rides into the guilt-ridden town of Lago. After proving his toughness, Eastwood is hired by the townspeople to protect them from three desperadoes just out of jail. The actions that follow rise to a fiery and startling climax.

Directed by Clint Eastwood, High Plains Drifter is a stylish western in which the line between the good guys and the bad guys is intriguingly ambiguous.
