The flight recorder of the 200-year-old U.S.S. Valiant relays a tale of terror - a magnetic storm at the edge of the galaxy. Sent to pick up a research team, the Enterprise finds the scientist dead. One of the landing party brings the disease back to the crew, forcing suppressed emotions to the surface.
