Stardate 50460.3 His appetite is diminished. His sleep is fitful. His attentiveness while on duty is scattered. Ensign Harry Kim (Garrett Wang) is in love...with a computer-generated holodeck hostess. "Retreat", counsels Tuvok (Tim Russ). Yet even Tuvok will find that's easier said than done, especially when the attractive and extremely logical holodeck woman turns her attentions toward him. The woman may be virtual, but her impact is real. She is the mysterious alter ego creation of an alien being obsessively attracted to Tuvok, and she is capable of infiltrating and overriding the ship's computer systems if her lone demand is not met. The demand: a fateful meeting between the alien and Tuvok aboard the alien's remote ship. |

Stardate Unknown The Nekrit Expanse: unstable, uncharted, unavoidable. The area is too large to go around, so Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) must take Voyager through it. Besides, she knows she can always rely on Neelix (Ethan Phillips) for expert advice on the area's hazards. But this is one area Neelix scarcely knows, and he's fearful his inability to help will lead to his dismissal from the ship. Rather than reveal his lack of information, Neelix enters the shadowy realm of black-market trading in order to obtain a rare astrometric chart of the region. But the deal backfires into violence, plunging the former space scavenger even deeper into the kind of life he once led. Certainly, this is enough to get him banished from Voyager - unless Neelix can somehow make things right. |
