Xanadu received the typical DiscoVision treatment, right in the middle of the IBM period. As usual, most
discs are riddled with speckles and audio noise. The video is much too dark, not to mention being trimmed by nearly
three minutes due to the use of an incorrect print. The audio, while containing some audio noise, the dynamic range
is better than average, with a smattering of low-ends every now and then. This was the last film to receive the GP
rating before the MPAA dropped it. The film was re-rated PG by the time it was released on disc. However, the
original rating is included at the end of the film. An interesting note is the inclusion of the Universal logo at
the end of the film, and the normal follow up by the blue "Made in Hollywood" and "Visit Universal Studios" bumpers.
For some reason, they are presented in 1.85:1 widescreen.
