Car Wash presents us with a film surrounding the day in the life of a downtown Los Angeles manual car wash,
whose employees do their job while listening to a sampling of the popular music from 1976. Okay, that's enough of
a write up. DiscoVision actually did a pretty good job on the video transfer. It is a bit washed out looking, but
given that the film was transferred to these discs only 2 years after hitting the theatres, and the fact that there
doesn't seem to be any of the normal wear and tear on the print used, one can assume the film was shot this way.
The audio does loose some marks for not being transferred well. It is shallow and over-driven. I expected better for
a film whose only real merit is the soundtrack, which DiscoVision (in the Silver Catalog) boldly proclaimed
generated a best selling album.
