The 2nd known demo disc is commonly referred to as the Little Man disc. Using blue screen special effects
techniques, the disc spokesman is scaled down to about a foot tall and placed in and on the Magnavox VH-8000 laserdisc
player. DiscoVision is hardly referenced, except to say they provide all the programming. The disc label, as seen here,
shows off the "Disco=Vision" logo that DiscoVision Associates tried to pass off as IBM became involved, The logo
was only ever used on industrial disc labels (like this one) and in actual "dead side" graphic artwork as seen on
several 3 sided CLV titles from Magnetic Video (Raise the Titanic!).
Beginning on frame 23598, several DiscoVision jackets are displayed: On Vacation with Mickey Mouse and Friends,
The Sting, and Slap Shot just to name a few.
The Godfather and The Godfather, Part II are mentioned
among the Paramount Pictures titles scheduled for release on DiscoVision, but only four of the eight announced titles were ever produced. It
seems that when Magnavox prepared this demonstration disc, they used the DiscoVision Silver Catalog as a reference.
