Part of The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau, this program follows an expedition into the waters off
Yucatan. Transferred from film as is evident by the very bad repair job on the print used to master this
LaserDisc, the video qualities are exceptional. The undersea photography is vivid and sharp. There is a sequence
near the end of side 2 in which aerial pictures show a huge dark mass under the surface of the water. The water is
so clear, it appears as though the dive boats are actually hovering in mid air, rather then resting on the surface.
The Sleeping Sharks of Yucatan was not reissued on LaserDisc.
